Investment Mandate

Our investment framework and the principles that guide capital allocation decisions.

Style

Long-only, bottom-up fundamental research. GARP with a value-bias.

Time Horizon

Minimum 12-month investment horizon, with preference for multi-year holding periods.

Focus

Public equities in developed markets. Over $500m market cap.

Diversification

Target portfolio adds new positions per year to incorporate new analysts' highest conviction ideas. Analysts also inherit legacy position coverage.

Portfolio Construction

Portfolio Construction

The SIF portfolio is constructed through a rigorous bottom-up stock selection process. Each position represents the analyst cohort's highest conviction idea, having passed through comprehensive due diligence and a democratic voting process requiring at least 65% approval.

We maintain a concentrated portfolio of high-quality equities, typically holding 30–40 positions across diversified sectors. Position sizing reflects conviction level and risk considerations, with no single position exceeding 10% of total portfolio value.

Risk management is embedded in our process: any position experiencing a 25% drawdown from its entry price triggers a mandatory review, where the covering analyst must either reaffirm the thesis with updated analysis or recommend an exit.
